After many years of speculation, debate and discussion, the highly anticipated concept of "a single show in the spring" became a reality for the coin-operated amusement and FEC industries this March 10-12, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, when the Amusement Expo, co-located with Fun Expo, made its debut. It was the answer to the industry's call for show consolidation and deemed a success by all counts. Initial steps were taken in 2009 when Fun Expo collocated with the Amusement Showcase International, and then, the Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA) announced its bold move to shift from its decades-long fall slot to create a new event in the spring with the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA).
